Who Makes Yaz?

The birth control pill known as Yaz is manufactured by a company called Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals (BHP).

This is the company that all lawsuits are being filed against.

BHP is a global giant that participates in Animal Healthcare, Diabetes research and care, Consumer Care, and many other pharmaceutical departments.

In the United States alone, BHP’s units consist of General Medicine, Women’s Healthcare, Hematology, Neurology, Diagnostic Imaging, and Oncology.

They say on their website: “Our aim is to discover and manufacture products that will improve human health worldwide by diagnosing, preventing, and treating diseases.”

In 2001 Bertex Laboratories created Yaz (at the time they called it Yasmin). In 2006 BHP took over Bertex Laboratories and reintroduced Yasmin as Yaz upon FDA approval.
